123 How do I know when a painting is good?
These paintings have to make a lot of noise. When I hear the brassband play, I am satisfied with this painting. After many watercolorpaintings, I'm working on oilpaintings of the fanfare. I'm using several non toxic mediums and pure linseed oil. I also add marble dust to make the paint thicker. When using several thinners and mediums never forget the foundational rule: Fat over lean, thick over thin. In this video I show the progress of this weeks fanfare painting and I tell you when I'm satisfied with a finished painting.
