From Srikhetra Puri to the state capital Bhubaneswar, various organisations have taken to the streets in protest, alleging that the issue affects Jagannath culture, traditions and the sentiments of devotees. Amid the protests, Bhubaneswar ISKCON has also appealed to its management committee to stop the off-schedule Rath Yatra and has called for intervention by the Central Government on the matter.
