7.7.26 Detallaron las obras del renovado Domo del Centenario

The Municipality of Resistencia detailed to the press the work carried out on the renovated Centennial Dome “Zitto Segovia,” which will be unveiled this Sunday, July 10. This urban development project is one of the most important of the Nikisch administration, as it significantly revitalizes one of the province's most important public spaces and a venue for countless cultural events. David Gómez, from the General Directorate of Architecture, explained that “we can now say that the Dome is ready to host an internationally renowned artist. Restoring its value was paramount, a very successful decision.” “Basically, it was a complete overhaul. This includes things that aren't visible, such as the dressing rooms, the area where the artist is received, and the stage,” he indicated. Regarding the stage, he noted that it lacked some technical aspects, sound system details, a new sound booth, and the curtain was replaced. There are almost 2,000 meters of fabric, in addition to the stage skirts and valances. “We invite you to come and see the renovated Dome. We have a thousand seats, and accessibility, safety, and hygiene have been improved, with new emergency exits, new fire hydrant systems, and a larger auditorium,” she said. Her colleague, María Celeste Carrió, spoke about the venue's lighting: “It has different lighting levels to create different atmospheres depending on the performances,” she stated. “If you look closely, there are low and high lights, and we also have lighting for the waiting area. What we want is for the audience to feel comfortable and for it to be a first-class venue, like any you might find anywhere in the world,” she emphasized. Other aspects of the renovated Dome include the seating area, which will have new upholstery, and some seats have been refurbished, as has the floor. “Also, regarding the stage, the orchestra pit system has been renewed, so now it allows it to function as it originally did, rising and falling with the band on its surface,” she noted.
