Led by the DEM Party, Nevruz celebrations began at Nevruz Park in Bağlar district under the slogan "Nevruz of Freedom and Democracy." The celebrations were attended by DEM Party Co-Chair Tuncer Bakırhan, Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Co-Mayor Ayşe Serra Bucak Küçük, and guests from abroad. The Nevruz area was monitored from the air by helicopter, and extensive security measures were in place. Fire and ambulance teams were on standby in case of any incident.
