STEAM AND SEMAPHORES ON JING PENG PASS
Video recorded in 2003 on the worlds last steam railroad. The Inner Mongolia railway opened in the 1990's with a fleet of QJ 2-10-2 hand-me-downs from the China Railway system. The line featured first rate civil engineering design, hand operated switches and semaphore signals and double-headers. This is video recorded by my friend John Pesarec on a trip we took with a group of friends to northern China. The weather was bitter cold and very windy. Originally recorded on a Sony mini-DV camera.
