One of My Favourite Turkish Dishes | Köfteli Çökertme Kebab

Today I'm making Köfteli Çökertme Kebab, a delicious Turkish dish made with crispy oven baked chips, juicy homemade meatballs, garlic yoghurt and a rich tomato butter sauce. This easy recipe serves 2 people and is perfect for a comforting lunch or dinner. If you enjoy Turkish recipes, don't forget to like, subscribe and leave a comment below! Ingredients For the Meatballs 250g beef mince 1 tbsp chopped parsley 2 cloves garlic, minced ½ tsp paprika 1 tsp cumin 1 tbsp breadcrumbs 1 beaten egg 1 small onion, grated Salt and pepper For the Chips 3 potatoes Olive oil Salt For the Yoghurt Sauce 125g thick yoghurt 2 cloves garlic, crushed Salt For the Tomato Butter Sauce 1 medium tomato, grated 1 tbsp olive oil 1 tbsp butter 1 tsp paprika 1 tbsp tomato paste Salt 50ml water Optional Mixed roasted peppers Fresh parsley Method Combine all the meatball ingredients except the salt and pepper in a bowl. Knead until well combined, cover and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes. Wash, peel and cut the potatoes into chips. Rinse well, add a little salt and boil for 10 minutes until tender. Drain and leave to steam dry for 10 minutes. Preheat the oven to 220°C (200°C fan) / 425°F and heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a baking tray. Add the chips to the hot oil and bake until golden. Toss gently halfway through cooking and return to the oven for the final crisping. Mix the yoghurt, crushed garlic and salt together. Refrigerate until needed. To make the tomato sauce, melt the butter and olive oil in a pan. Add the grated tomato, paprika, tomato paste, salt and water. Stir well and keep warm. Remove the meatball mixture from the fridge and season with salt and pepper. Form into approximately 20 bite sized meatballs. Fry the meatballs until golden and cooked through. Plate up the chips and roasted peppers. Top with the yoghurt, tomato sauce and meatballs. Finish with more yoghurt and tomato sauce, sprinkle with parsley and serve.
