The Fayioncleta doesn't stop! In this first part of the second leg of the trip, I'm showing you a bit of my time in Castelar, where I stopped for a few days to do some masonry work. It's not all about cycling: I'll tell you about the day's "surgery," how I fixed a flat tire that luckily didn't happen on the road, and the new gear I added. Then, back on the trail, we headed from Las Heras towards Lobos on dirt roads, skirting the train tracks and enjoying the peace of the countryside. There were encounters with subscribers who are great guys, unexpected gifts, and, of course, the classic roadside get-together with a fire, stuffed bread, and a grappa to ward off the cold.
