Château de l'Herm: la restauration continue!

Third episode of our ongoing coverage of the restoration of the Château de l'Herm, in the Dordogne. Nicolas de Laâge de Meux, the owner, shows you the progress made on the project since the last video: the gradual furnishing of the rooms, the restoration of the painted decorations, and above all the roof frame of the South tower, the last tower of the château to be roofed after six years of work. An exceptional look into the expertise of the carpenters and stonemasons bringing this flamboyant gothic monument back to life, with the support of the Ministry of Culture, the Fondation du Patrimoine, and numerous patrons. This video is also an opportunity to discuss the agrivoltaic project threatening the Barade forest and the surroundings of the château, which is listed as a Historic Monument.
