Tap Basics: 1

This covers some basic steps that you need to know to start tap dancing! Tap shoes are encouraged, but not required. Try it out with tap shoes on a tap board (or even a scrap piece of wood) or in your socks on a hard-surface floor like your kitchen! My tap board is homemade- a piece of wood (3 feet by 4 feet) stained and sealed, with a section of rubber flooring on the bottom.
