RYOYU KOBAYASHI Born November 8, 1996, 174cm, Iwate Prefecture After switching to ski jumping upon joining Tsuchiya Home in 2015, he became the first Japanese to win the Grand Slam and overall title at the 2019 Ski Jumping Week, catapulting him to stardom in the world of ski jumping. He thrilled the entire nation of Japan by winning gold and silver at the 2022 Beijing Olympics. He also won the overall World Cup title that same year. In 2023, he reached 30 wins, and in the 2023-24 season, he placed second overall with two wins and 15 podium finishes. He achieved the unprecedented feat of maintaining a top-five overall ranking for six consecutive years. He continues to compete at the pinnacle of global competition. Michihiko Ueki / Boat Racing Ambassador A former boat racer, he was nicknamed the Phoenix and the Boat King during his active career. He is still beloved by fans as a racer whose records and memories include three Grand Prix victories, 10 SG titles, the first public racing champion to win 200 million yen, and a lifetime earnings of 2.2 billion yen.
