#3 Taylor Sander OH The Player: Taylor Sander joined the U.S. Men’s National Team in 2014. Prior to that, he was a member of the 2011 U.S. Men’s Junior National Team that competed in the 2011 FIVB Men’s Junior World Championship in Brazil, where the team finished fourth. He was also a member of the 2010 junior team that won the NORCECA Men’s Junior Continental Championship in Gatineau, Quebec. He was the United States’ third-leading scorer, finishing with 30 points on 32 kills, three blocks and five aces. The Person: The son of Steve and Kera Sander, he has one brother (Brenden) and one sister (Britney). Born in 1992, Sander completed his senior season at BYU this May. He was a global studies major. He earned the 2014 AVCA Player of the Year Award and currently holds the BYU rally-scoring era record for career kills (1,715), as well as the all-time BYU record for career service aces (178).
