FS Thunderbolt 1000T - Alert - Storm Lake, IA - 6/13/20

I'm extremely sorry for all the wind thats in this video! Theres nothing I can do about that. Anyways, I decided to make a risky trip to Storm Lake, IA to record an unrecorded thunderbolt siren. I was told that Storm Lake tests their sirens every Saturday at 12:00 PM. This whole trip ended up being worth it! Something that I didn't expect at all is that this thunderbolt is set at chopper level 7! Now you don't hear to many thunderbolts that are set at chopper level 7 nowadays. Sadly, Storm Lake is just like Rock Rapids, IA where they only test for 30 seconds which sucks but oh wells. What sucks even more is that the wind down on this siren got completely ruined by the wind but at least, I caught a little bit of the wind down. The wind was a bit of a troll to me today as the wind only came in when the Thunderbolt was winding down and as soon as it completely winded down, the wind calmed down for the rest of the video, even during the part I cut out which was like 10 minutes! Now this is completely off topic but the lake in Storm Lake is AMAZING! Its even cooler in person when your actually there! I did record an ambiance video as well here but it came out soo badly that I'm not even going to bother uploading it. I know for a fact that I will be coming back to Storm Lake, IA as my uncle really likes this town a lot and I mean a LOT. The reason he likes this town soo much is because of the lake. Its truly an amazing sight. Anyways, when I come back to Storm Lake, IA I'll do two things while I'm at it. I'll re-film this thunderbolt again and get a MUCH better ambiance recording. I'll call the EMA in advance to see if they could set the sirens off for more than 30 seconds. Maybe they could possibly set the sirens in Storm Lake off for the full 3 minutes but I doubt that would happen. That's all I gotta say for now. Check out the info below!
