Guest: Dr Angaraj Timilsina International Expert on Governance and Sustainable Development Host/Producer: Rupesh Shrestha Dr Angaraj Timilsina is UNDP’s Global Programme Advisor on Anti-corruption. He is responsible for coordinating UNDP’s policy and programme support on anti-corruption reforms in more than 60 countries, including support for strengthening the capacity of government institutions, business sector, CSOs, media, youth and women’s networks to strengthen governance for sustainable development. Dr. Timilsina has edited, authored and co-authored more than two dozen of publications on governance, public sector reforms, conflict prevention and peace building, sustainable development, new technologies, and anti-corruption. He also sits in advisory board and coordination mechanisms of many international organizations and institutions and has also serve as a special speaker/lecturer in more than a dozen of universities and academic institutions. Dr. Timilsina is also a regular contributor of opinion pieces and blogs on many emerging themes on governance and anti-corruption. Dr. Timilsina was previously with RAND Cooperation, a U.S.-based think tank, where he worked on issues ranging from security sector reforms to defence development, post-conflict reconstruction, and economic reforms in the health and education sectors. Anga has a Ph.D. in Policy Analysis from the Pardee RAND Graduate School and a master’s degree in international development from the International University of Japan with ‘Dean’s Award of Academic Excellence’. He also has a master’s degree in economics with distinction from Tribhuvan University Nepal. He also brings his experiences working for various non-governmental agencies in Nepal.
