Stratasys Academy | J8 Series: Optimizing the Print Heads
Optimizing the Print Heads on J8 Series Printers 🛠️ Overview: This video demonstrates how to optimize the print heads in Stratasys J7 and J8 Series printers to ensure consistent print quality and detect faulty nozzles using the built-in optimization wizard. 🔑 Key Points Covered: What is Print Head Optimization? A diagnostic and calibration process that identifies missing nozzles, and ensures each head jets material accurately and at the correct weight. Combines a Pattern Test with a Weight Test for thorough analysis. When to Perform: Whenever print quality issues are suspected. After replacing a print head or materials. How it Works: Step 1: Pattern Test - Start the Head Optimization wizard, select the printing mode, print a pattern on pink paper, and inspect it with the Missing Nozzles Ruler. Enter missing nozzle counts to proceed. Step 2: Weight Test - Set up the scale, zero it, and place the container. - Each print head jets resin into the container, and the wizard records the weights. If weights are off or nozzles are missing, replacement may be required. 🔔 Thanks for watching!
