Haboro Town, Hokkaido. The coal mining town of Haboro Coal Mine, Kami-Haboro Pit, is slowly returning to the forest. Continuing our exploration from the first part, we discovered an old road stretching deep into the forest. Following that road, we found the remains of a large public bathhouse, different from the one in the first part. Light blue tiles and bathtubs—relics that tell the story of the miners' lives—remained in the forest. Going further in, massive ruins, not even recorded in any information, began to appear one after another. A primeval forest with footprints of a huge brown bear. Slopes and landslides blocking our path. And then, the main entrance where the miners once descended underground. We followed the traces of the "Second Pit Main Inclined Shaft Entrance," buried under landslides. While the town is returning to the forest, much history still sleeps within its depths.
