Falsa acusação de estupro em Uberlândia termina em prisão de mulher | Cidade Alerta Minas

A 23-year-old woman was arrested by the Military Police in Uberlândia after fabricating a false rape accusation to try and recover her cell phone. The young woman, who works as a prostitute, lied about being raped by a client after a disagreement over the price of the sexual service. According to the Military Police, the woman went to the police station claiming she had been the victim of a sexual crime in the early hours of Saturday (July 13th) in the Bom Jesus neighborhood. In her statement, she said she was staying at a hotel near the bus station when she was approached by a man who forced her into his car under threat of violence. The young woman alleged that she was taken to Rua México, where the rape allegedly occurred, and that afterwards the man demanded her cell phone and fled. However, security camera footage from the area showed that the woman's story was false. The images revealed that the young woman approached the client's car accompanied by a friend and entered the vehicle without any sign of threat or coercion. Confronted with the images, the woman confessed to having fabricated the rape story. She stated that she lied about the sexual crime to have a "greater effort" in recovering her cell phone, which had been left in the client's car after the sexual encounter. Faced with the false accusation, the woman was arrested in the act by the Military Police for the crime of falsely reporting a crime.
