A Void Podcasts Presents: Cesar Alexandre AKA Mount Shrine / Mt. Hibiki / Kagutaba. This weeks episode of the A Void Podcast is dedicated to my friend, Cesar, or as most will know him, Mount Shrine. As some of you may know, Cesar and his father tragically lost their lives to a very short battle with Covid-19 in early/mid April 2021. I reached out to Cesar in 2017 after including some of his work in previous episodes of the AVD podcast. From there, we built a relationship of which transcended the world of Ambient music; we became friends, more importantly. Not only was Cesar an extremely talented musician, an upcoming name in the Ambient/Drone music scene but he was a very dear friend of mine. With Cesar living in Brazil, all of our conversations over the years were via online platforms and although we lived thousands of miles away, I felt super close to him, like a friend and a brother.
