Hiking alone to a FROZEN waterfall in Great Smoky Mountains

Solo winter hike through deep snow to a fully frozen Grotto Falls in the Great Smoky Mountains. Sometimes silence is golden. In this video, I chose not to have a voiceover or any speaking parts and instead this video is what is known as "silent hiking" - this way you can enjoy the sounds of nature without the distraction of conversation and loud music. I do have some very soft, calm background music in this video but it's pretty faint. In this video, I did a solo winter hike to Grotto Falls starting at Rainbow Falls trailhead. Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail is closed for winter so to reach Grotto Falls you have to start there or walk the road to the main trailhead. The trail was absolutely beautiful all covered in snow and I'm glad I brought my micro spikes. When I reached the falls, I found it completed frozen solid and it was absolutely magical! Hope you enjoy the sounds of nature and a little ASMR.
