Is Cashify actually safe to buy a used MacBook from? I found a used MacBook Pro M1 Pro on Cashify for ₹70,000 (about $740) — a machine that cost around ₹1,94,900 new. It looked flawless. But a used laptop can look perfect and still hide a worn battery, a history of crashes, or a hidden repair — so before I paid, I did something I'd never seen anyone do: I installed the Claude Code CLI on the machine and let Claude fully interrogate it. Battery cycles, shutdown history, crashes, thermals, storage, tampering — the works. 30 minutes later it handed me a verdict — and told me to push the price down.
