Machine Gun Mike's Ironmen Autococker Paintball Gun c. 1991
In 1991 the Ironmen and Worr Game Products introduced the Autococker at the 1991 Lone Star Open. In this video I shoot an Autococker that belonged to Michael "Machine Gun Mike" Baird. Find an article about the Lone Star Open at http://www.baccipaintball.com/oldnews... Mike Baird received this Autococker from Bud Orr, of Worr Game Products, in 1991, likely at the Lone Star Open, in Texas. The Lone Star Open took place between March 14th and 17th of 1991. Mike thinks this was his original gun from that event and writes: "[This is] the first Cocker I was given when we were signed by WGP in '91. Serial #6212." And Baird also writes, " the Cocker you have ... is the same one I used and am holding in the team picture from the Lone Star Open, Dallas '91. Obviously there were changes made but it is the same one. 25 years old!" And Bud Orr told me the following: "The guns we made them started around 6500 or higher. I may have some records on that. They always kept there guns. A few played with pumps for a few years." I would say that Bud could be off 300 or so serial numbers since it was close to 25 years back and over 100,000 Autocockers were eventually produced. But I'm waiting to hear a few of the other serials from Mike's teammates (if they can dig their old guns up). It will be interesting to see how their numbers fall compared to the serial on Mike's Autococker. For reference, most paintballers playing in the early 90s that purchased Autocockers around their public release have told me that serials usually were around 7000.
