New Born Fawn
WARNING — DO NOT DO what we did approaching or touching the a fawn unless you are an experienced in dealing with wildlife. This fawn is maybe an half hour old, still slightly wet. It's a male (Buck). Female deer with fawns are very protective and can cause SEROUS INJURIES with their hooves. They have attacked dogs and humans that get too close to their fawns. •• The only reason I was able to approach safely, was that this Doe hangs around our garden and knows my wife and me. Even then, I stood watch as my wife approached the fawn. The Doe stood on the hillside stomped and snorted at us until we left.
