Woolhampton Swing Bridge, Berkshire

Woolhampton Swing Bridge, Woolhampton, Berkshire over the Kennet and Avon Canal. Location: Station Road, Woolhampton Date Filmed: 22-10-2020 Small swing bridge over the River Kennet and Kennet and Avon Canal in the village of Woolhampton, Berkshire. The swing bridge is manually operated at a control panel and is opened to allow barges to pass, heading along the canal. There are four warning lights, three of the four being Pike manufactures, two barriers by Newgate with stop signs and a quiet alarm. Relays can be heard clicking when I'm standing by the barrier. One of the warning lights is very unique as, due to space limitations, it does not have an amber light and just has two red lights with a small red/white border. Its even more unique by the fact its broken and the lights do not even flash. The bridge was open for around 6 minutes in total. Behind from where I was standing, around 100 metres north, is Midgham Level Crossing and Midgham station. Thanks For Watching!
