Confusing Thai Phrases: I did... & I can... in Thai (ได้/ไม่ได้) | Learn Thai one day one sentence

สวัสดีค่ะ /sà-wàt-dee kâ/ Two easy confusing Thai phrases between I can and I did. They use the same word in Thai, ได้/dâai/. So how do you use it? Basic Thai grammar: 1. Can = V + ได้/dâai/ Can’t = V + ไม่ได้/mâi dâai/ 2. Did = ได้/dâai/ + V Didn’t = ไม่ได้/mâi dâai/ + V Examples of V 1. To do = ทำ/tam/ I can do it = ทำได้/tam dâai/ I can’t do it = ทำไม่ได้/tam mâi dâai/ I did it = ได้ทำ/dâai tam/ I didn’t do it = ไม่ได้ทำ/mâi dâai tam/ 2. To fix = ซ่อม/sôm/ I can fix it = ซ่อมได้/sôm dâai/ I can’t fix it = ซ่อมไม่ได้/sôm mâi dâai/ I didn’t fix it = ไม่ได้ซ่อม/mâi dâai sôm/ 3. To watch = ดู/doo/ I can’t watch it = ดูไม่ได้/doo mâi dâai/ I didn’t watch it = ไม่ได้ดู/mâi dâai doo/ 4.
