Union Pacific No. 4014 “Big Boy” Whistle Stop at Lebanon, Pennsylvania

America’s 250th anniversary special tour of the famous Union Pacific No. 4014 Big Boy locomotive. This piece of history was fully restored in order to travel across the US to showcase the world’s largest steam locomotive to exist. This engine was built in 1941 by the American Locomotive Company (ALCO). Its primary use was for hauling heavy freight to support the war efforts during World War II. Truly a remarkable example of American engineering and this surly was a way to bring patriotism to the states for the 250th anniversary!
