How to use a mortar gun for re-pointing flag stones
A demonstration of how to use a pointing gun when re-pointing Indian stone paving. Much quicker and easier than using a pointing trowel or jointer. Is the time spent getting to learn the basics of how to use the mortar gun worth it? Definitely, it is quicker and a cleaner way to re-point but it does require a bit of patience initially but it is well worth persevering and you will soon get the hang of it. Once you have re-pointed take a break and have a coffee while the mortar sets before cleaning up the mortar and brushing down with a soft brush to give the final finish.
