stan harper plays vivaldi - harmonica
A performance by SPAH-designated "Harmonica Legend" Stan Harper of one movement of the Vivaldi A minor violin concerto. Antonio Vivaldi (1678-1741) was called "The Red Priest" because of his hair, not his politics. An outstanding violinist, he was among the greatest and most prolific composers of his day. He also mentored a young singer, Anna Tessieri Giro, and some suspected that their relationship went beyond music, although he stoutly denied it. He was knighted by Emperor Charles VI. Our video regrettably contains some noise during speech but, fortunately, it is virtually inaudible during Stan's performance.
