Amtrak with four private cars meets BNSF ethanol train

Two trains appear at the same time approaching Agency, Iowa on July 10, 2014. From the west, there's a BNSF freight train. From the east, it's Amtrak's "California Zephyr." Over the radio, the defect detector is heard giving a on odd number, 69, of axles for Amtrak #5. The first train to reach the Hazel Street crossing is the freight train, which is a unit ethanol train. Amtrak quickly races through itself with private cars bringing up the end. The first one is Southern 1, a former business car for the Southern Railway. A Milwaukee Road car is next, followed by the "Passenger Support Car." This car includes a generator and a kitchen. Bringing up the end of the ethanol train is a distributed power unit that has faded to light orange. "Peachbonnet" is the term I've heard used to describe units like this.
