In this episode, I'm visiting Shanghai, one of China's most developed and touristic cities. History, culture, the modern world, and commerce are all intertwined in this city. Once a city that the West won and exploited during the Opium Wars, it has now developed to the point of almost defying the West. Also, a few days before arriving in Shanghai, I met Professor Ibrahim, who invited me to his city and the university where he teaches Turkish to Chinese students.
