I Went to Switzerland for Work… So I Recorded This in 3D Audio

Why is a channel dedicated to Tokyo suddenly wandering around Bern, Switzerland? The answer is simple: work sent me to Zurich, and curiosity sent me a little farther. Once the business part of the trip was over, I hopped on a train to Bern because I simply couldn’t leave Switzerland without seeing the city’s famous medieval clock tower, the Zytglogge. And since I had already traveled halfway around the world, I thought I might as well bring my binaural microphones along and capture the city in immersive 3D audio. There is even a chance—admittedly a very small and highly unofficial one—that this may be the first binaural recording of the Zytglogge bells. At the very least, it is probably the first one recorded by someone who was supposed to be filming Tokyo. So yes, this is normally a Tokyo walking channel. But rules are made to be bent occasionally, especially when Switzerland looks and sounds this beautiful.
