Cocinando un GUISO A LA CRIOLLA Bien Sabroso! 🍲😋 Receta Campestre al Aire Libre en el Campo 🍲❄️🔥
Today we're sharing an outdoor cooking video. The temperatures are starting to drop here, and with snow on the horizon, we decided to make a traditional Argentine stew. We cooked it in our Dutch oven, and it was delicious! We added meat, potatoes, onions, bell peppers, carrots, and tomatoes—the perfect dish for a cold day. So, we invite you to share this country meal with us. Cooking a Delicious Argentine Argentine Stew! 🍲😋 Countryside Recipe Outdoors in the Countryside 🍲❄️🔥 🥘❄️ Cooking a Countryside Stew in the Snow: Dutch Oven Recipe, Snacks, and Wine in the Mountains 🇦🇷🍷 🌄 Countryside Sunrise and Outdoor Preparations With the first snowflakes about to fall and the promise of a winter storm, we started this day in the mountains eager to enjoy a truly hearty winter meal. The coals were lit outdoors, and although it wasn't a traditional grill, the Dutch oven took center stage. Daniel shared the spirit of the countryside: "It's a crime to live surrounded by nature and not cook outside." As the ingredients were prepared and the snow threatened to arrive, the rural calm was palpable, where the cold, the firewood, and the animals were all part of the ritual. 🍖 Preparing the Meat and Stew Ingredients The star of the day is a cut of meat known as tip steak (similar to a brisket tip), trimmed of fat and tendons, and cut into generous portions. The accompaniments include onions, bell peppers, carrots, sliced potatoes, fresh and crushed tomatoes, scallions, and a final touch of chopped parsley. The key lies in the seasonings, prepared with a special blend of garlic powder, oregano, cumin, paprika, chili powder, and sweet paprika, plus salt and pepper added to taste. 🥃 Snacks and an Outdoor Wine Ritual Before getting started on the stew, a classic Argentine snack platter is prepared to accompany the first toast: pepperoni sticks, spiced cheese, pickled gherkins, and a Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon, Santa Ema Reserva 2020. Daniel and Samuel agree: “Without a drink, there’s no inspiration.” The toast comes easily, and the wine is smooth, ideal for pairing with meats and intense flavors. 🔥 Argentine Stew in a Dutch Oven: Technique and Tradition The magic happens over the fire: the meat is browned and seared in the Dutch oven, the vegetables are added, and after a good stir, everything returns to the pot along with the beef broth. The cast iron and the enveloping heat make the flavors blend in a unique way. Meanwhile, Togo and Bambi (the family dogs) stay alert, sniffing and waiting for their portion without tomato. ❄️ The Snow Arrives: Cooking and Lunch Under the Snowflakes As the stew simmers, the weather changes and the snow begins to fall, enveloping everything in a tranquil and magical atmosphere. “There’s nothing better than cooking like this, outdoors, waiting for the snow to fall.” The cooking is checked: the potatoes are taking longer, but the result is promising. The aroma of garlic and spices fills the air, and as the temperature drops, everyone bundles up and gets ready for the picnic lunch. 🍲 Serving and Enjoying: A Dish That Comforts the Soul The moment of truth arrives under the snow: the steak is served, beautifully garnished with parsley, and a bottle of “La Mascota,” a Cabernet Sauvignon from Mendoza, is uncorked. The flavor is spectacular: the meat is incredibly tender, the vegetables meld together, and the warming stew is comforting to the bone. There's laughter, satisfied hunger, and that simple happiness that comes with country food and good company. 🐕 Family and Nature: Dogs, Bears, and Mountain Tales There's no shortage of rural anecdotes: bear tracks in the mud during a recent hike, the dogs' attentiveness, and the constant connection with wild nature. Togo (Bambi) waits his turn; Bambi gets his meat without sauce and enjoys his feast. ☑️ Final Thoughts: The Pleasure of Rural Life and Traditional Cooking The video ends with the food served under the snow, the promise of future recipes, and an invitation to cook outdoors, enjoy the simple things, and let yourself be surprised by winter. Daniel reminds us: "That's how it's done: simple, economical, and surrounded by nature." Thanks to everyone who follows the channel.
