Replacing Kiln Elements and Thermocouples

It was time to change my elements and thermocouples in my kiln. I've heard many potters say they are afraid to own their own (or service) a kiln because of the maintenance or technical skill required. I've had to service my kilns many times and thought I would share my recent experience with you to perhaps reduce some of that fear or mystery around the process.
