Bonsai Maintenance: Pruning Pointers for Perfecting Your Bonsai Tree

I show you how to do maintenance pruning with one of my oldest trees. Maintenance pruning keeps your bonsai compact and encourages dense, fine branching (ramification). Do it when the tree is actively growing using clean, sharp bonsai shears. Snip back new shoots that extend beyond your desired silhouette to the first one or two leaf pairs.
