This was a traffic stop for multiple violations including lane change without signaling and following the vehicle in front of him too closely. The suspect was asked to exit the vehicle and was told he would be getting a warning. The guy was super chatty and talking about his son passing away and other problems in his personal life, it appeared like he wanted some sympathy from the officer and hoped this might help him just get away with a warning. The officer clearly noticed that the guy was nervous and made some unusual statements, he asked if he could search the vehicle. The suspect denied having anything illegal in the vehicle and used his right to refuse the consent to search. He then admits to having his son's firearm in the vehicle after he already told the officer he did not have any weapons, this is a violation as you must disclose to officers if you have a firearm when asked. From there he admits that he does have illegal drugs in the trunk of his vehicle. He was arrested for trafficking.
