Things To Do in El Paredón

El Paredon is a beautiful little beach town on the western coast of Guatemala. The thing is, there is not much to do there besides surf, party, and relax. I spent 5 days there and loved it because I went to two hostel raves and sat out on the beach until the sun rose, talking with fellow travelers. It was a wonderful time. You can surf, you can take surf lessons. You can play sand volleyball. You can take a boat ride on the river that flows into the Pacific. I did not find any gyms there, the town is nothing without the hostels. You can attempt to lay on the beach but it was 95+ (35 C) every day that I was there so even reading a book is bearable for about 15 minutes. I swam too, which you know I love. There are a few different raves at hostels each week. Every night is at a different place and has some DJs who are staying at the hostel. I loved these, the highlight of my time there.
