宮城・蔵王町出身の総合格闘家が町の観光大使に！夢の「RIZIN」出場を前に意気込みを語る！

A mixed martial artist from Zao Town, Miyagi Prefecture, has been appointed as a town tourism ambassador, and a ceremony was held to present him with his letter of appointment. Ahead of his appearance at RIZIN, one of Japan's largest fighting events, to be held in Sendai in June, he spoke about his aspirations for this dream stage. Kaito Kuroi, 24 years old, is a professional mixed martial artist from Zao Town, Miyagi Prefecture. He started hard-style karate at the age of 4 and switched to mixed martial arts at 19. He has steadily built his career, and is currently a highly-watched fighter, having achieved a KO victory at a tournament held in Sendai in 2025! His fight at RIZIN is scheduled for June 6th. In June, Kuroi will take on a life-changing challenge. Kaito Kuroi: "My next fight is scheduled for June 6th at RIZIN." RIZIN, one of Japan's largest fighting events, will be held in Sendai on June 6th, and Kuroi's participation has been confirmed! Kaito Kuroi, fighter: "I want everyone to see me go all out from the first round, aiming for a KO, a submission victory, and a finish, so please support me!" Kuroi has been appointed as a tourism ambassador for his hometown, Zao Town, and the appointment ceremony took place on the 1st. The town seems quite interested in his next fight… Hidetoshi Murakami, Mayor of Zao Town: "Has the time (of the fight) already been decided? 2 PM?" Kaito Kuroi: "(Q: Regarding his suit) It feels unfamiliar. I feel a bit stiff." Recharging his energy at home – the big dream fight a month away! Kuroi's family owns a sushi restaurant in Zao Town. At his first visit home in a while, Kuroi enjoyed sushi made by his father, Akihisa. A smile involuntarily spread across his face. Kaito Kuroi (fighter): "It's delicious. I've always ordered tuna and salmon roe." Father, Akihisa Kuroi: "I want him to challenge himself while he's young, win his way up in RIZIN, and live a life where he aims for the top."
