Introducing Frisco Jones: A Hero In Search of A Heroine, Part 21: My Mother, She Knew Everything
This clip does a lot of heavy lifting as we get the first significant piece of Frisco's back story. Blackie attempts to deal with the aftermath of Lesley's passing, but finds he is not ready to be at the Webber residence with everyone. He goes back to the hotel room he shares with Frisco, who knows something about grieving one's mother. In this clip we learn that Frisco nearly didn't attend his mother's funeral, but once he arrived, a mere 10 minutes late, found his father had ordered the ceremony start without him. Blackie can't make sense of anything, so Frisco shares his philosophy: You have to believe there's a plan without trying to figure out why. Some things will just never make sense. Frisco also suggests that losing one's self in one's work might be the cure for what ails. He's already learned that "keep moving" as a credo doesn't solve anything for very long. And just like that, we get more insight into the inner workings of Frisco Jones than anyone currently in power at General Hospital will ever understand, not that they care. Frisco's back story was already fully planned and breadcrumbed here. We won't hear the full story until months after Felicia arrives--nearly a year from the time of this clip.
