Developing a Landscape Drawing Using Mark Making- Art Demonstration

Developing a Landscape Drawing Using Mark Making Inspired by Van Gogh Art Demonstration This is lesson three in a series on mark making and landscapes inspired by Vincent Van Gogh This is a demonstration as part of a scheme of work for Year 7-9 students. The aim is of this lesson is to get them to pull the skills they have learnt during the last 2 lessons together to create a final outcome. I take you through an activity to draw out a landscape and then fill the areas with different marks to create texture and detail. Students can be inspired by Vincent Van Gogh and other mark making skills they have learnt to create their piece. This gives the students a chance to explore pencil and pen to develop drawing skills using line and texture. Exploring mark making is a key skill to develop when improving your drawing skills. Equipment- Images of Van Goghs drawings, a photograph of a landscape, pencil, pen, fine liner and paper. Like and subscribe if you liked the video, thanks for watching.
