Traslado de Tlaloc al MNA
Tlaloc is one of the most important deities in the Mesoamerican worldview, associated with rain, water, and fertility. In Mexica culture, he was considered the lord of the skies, and human and animal sacrifices were offered in his honor to ensure a good harvest and prevent drought. Depicted with a serpent mask and with attributes such as lightning, clouds, and thunder, Tlaloc was considered a fearsome but necessary god for the survival of life on Earth. #godofwater #tlaloc #artandculture #mexico #cdmx #mexicans #archaeology #historyofmexico #gods #godofrain #storm #rains #rain #thunderstorm #takescareofwater #waterday #water #mexicocity #flood #downpour
