Lingcod, Greenling, Rockfish — Bottom Fishing on Vancouver Island

I found myself with a fishing rod and some free time while visiting Vancouver Island, BC. I really wanted to do some jigging, and I got a tip from a local tackle shop about a couple of locations that might be productive. I headed out to explore with some new tackle. The weather was far from good with heavy south easterly winds, frosty air, and the cold waters of Discovery Passage surrounding me. I put in the effort casting jigs and buzz bombs and was rewarded with a handful of fish including a keeper Greenling, my target species for the day. 🔔 Subscribe for more tight lines & good times 🤙 Thanks for watching!
