Bangoro is a track taken from Bab L' Bluz's critically acclaimed second album 'Swaken'. In its album form Bangoro is an electro-yelping, '70s riffing, psychedelic blues-rock excursion that veers into West Africa, but for this remix the song is artfully recrafted by Gitkin, renowned exponent of cowboy funk and the hypnotic melodies of desert blues. Gitkin, based in New Orleans, brings his own inimitable take on psychedelic cumbia and a good dose of Southern funk and intertwines it with a reverb drenched twang and the pulse of Latin American rhythms to deliver a remix which perfectly blends his world with that of Bab L' Bluz.
