WHAT TO VISIT IN IBIZA SA CALETA AN INCREDIBLE SITE. __________________________ A place full of history ..... An incredible beach not very extensive surrounded by reddish cliffs with turquoise waters. Creating a feeling of complete isolation due to its horseshoe shape. It is of fine sand with clean and shallow waters ideal for families with children and it is also great for snorkeling. Sa Caleta is very appreciated by the people of the island on weekends and as it is small it fills up quickly. This picturesque cove with several fishermen's huts is also home to the ruins of the first Phoenician settlement in Ibiza dating from 654 BC. Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1999. WWII bunker equipped with anti-aircraft guns and a tunnel drilled in the cliff of the beach very popular to take some film photos ..... Walking through the area costs nothing and there are information panels with historical data available to the public, climb to the top of the cliff on the left side. Bars and restaurants. There is only one restaurant here that shares the name of Sa Caleta. Beautifully decorated with nautical motifs in a rustic setting, this seafood establishment is popular with the people of the island and is open all year round.
