The "Maxtrac Repeater Cable" - READ DESCRIPTION! -
In this video I talk about the cable and try and walk you through setting up and programming a pair of Motorola PM400's in UHF to GMRS (462.6250 MHz) for use as a repeater. You may set yours up in the Ham radio band or on your licensed Commercial frequency pair. These cables are common and cheap on ebay (around $12 USD) and will allow you to interface a pair of Motorola mobile radios (with 16 pin accessory ports) together to create a repeater. I am using a dummy load and a duplexer in this video. This setup can be used without a duplexer via a pair of tuned antennas for the band / frequency you are operating on ATTENTION! ATTENTION! DO NOT do this on MURS or FRS frequencies. DO NOT do this is you are not licensed by the FCC. DO NOT do this outside of your licensed commercial frequency pair (Commercial License) or licensed band (Ham or GMRS licenses) DO NOT do this in commercial bands int he US with wideband radios such as Maxtrac 300, Radius GM300, SM50, etc. NOTICE! This video is intended for educational purposes only and for the hobbyist to follow by using common tools and easy to obtain hardware via ebay. However, Software is obtained via the Motorola website and requires a subscription to download and stay updated, Please DO NOT pirate CPS. If you need the codeplug to use as a base format to set up PM400's here is what I have - http://www.elfnet-designs.com/files/p...
