CAR-T is a type of therapy in which T lymphocytes taken from a patient are reinfused into their body after being genetically modified in the laboratory to enhance their anti-cancer activity and specifically target tumor cells for selective elimination. What exactly are they, how do they work, and how effective are they in hematological diseases, particularly multiple myeloma?
