Walz to receive wildfire briefing as fires continue to burn
Gov. Tim Walz and Minnesota's Emergency Executive Council are scheduled to meet Wednesday for a briefing on the growing wildfire situation in northern Minnesota. Officials are expected to receive an update on the 17 active wildfires and vote on a possible 30-day extension of the state's executive peacetime emergency order.
