Preparing to Meet God | Amos 4:12 Sermon

In this sermon from Amos 4, we study the sobering command: “Prepare to meet your God, O Israel” (Amos 4:12). Amos warned Israel of coming judgment because they had ignored God’s repeated calls to repent. This lesson shows that all people must prepare to meet God—through His Word, through Christ, in worship, in death, in judgment, and, for the faithful, in heaven. The sermon also considers examples of those who met the risen Christ, including the disciples on the road to Emmaus, Mary at the tomb, and Thomas.
