MARK HANNA_FIRST FLIGHT OF SPITFIRE PL965_1992

This video shows the first post restoration flight of Spitfire PL965 at Rochester Airport on 23rd December 1992. The pilot was Mark Hanna of the OFMC. The weather conditions were far from ideal - frosty and misty! During the flight the cloud base was down to 500 feet above Rochester Airport, which necessitated the flight being curtailed. PL965 was restored to airworthy condition by the Medway Aircraft Preservation Society based at Rochester Airport. The aircraft is now owned and flown by Peter Teichman who operates his aircraft ("HANGAR 11") out of North Weald.
