Gambians await the arrival of President Adama Barrow
We begin in Gambia, where the country is awaiting the arrival of new President Adama Barrow from Dakar, but it's still not quite clear when exactly that will be. Regional troops have secured key sites in the capital Banjul, including the presidential palace, ahead of Barrow's return. Former President Yahya Jammeh has gone into exile following negotiations by regional bloc ECOWAS. However, it's reported that more than 11 million dollars is missing from state coffers. It's not clear whether the former president is responsible for the missing funds. Meanwhile, more Gambians have been returning home following the resolution of the political crisis.
