December 20, 2025. I climbed Mt. Oyama in Tanzawa for the first time in about a month. My guest this time is a fellow sufferer who hasn't been seen since climbing Mt. Takao in November. The weather wasn't great, so I couldn't see any beautiful views, but please enjoy the same silly, pointless, and uninteresting conversation. This time, I used the "Oyama Afuri Shrine Visitors' Parking Lot." Parking is free here, but it's about 2.5 km from the Oyama Cable Bus Stop. It's quite a distance from Koma Sando, so I recommend using it only if you have the time and energy. It can accommodate about 50 cars. There are no restrooms. Alternatively, there's the "Municipal Parking Lot No. 2," closest to the entrance to Koma Sando. Parking costs 1,000 yen per day for standard cars. It can accommodate 44 cars. It's open 24 hours a day. There are restrooms. Please note that it fills up early during peak season. There's also the "Municipal Parking Lot No. 1," about 600 meters below.
