SURFING THE BIGGEST STORM OF THE YEAR IN TOFINO, CANADA (RAW POV)

The last days of 2023 went out with a banger swell that rocked Vancouver Island and the entire west coast, from Canada to California. Over the course of several days we experienced extreme winds and tides and massive rain storms that closed beaches and caused flooding on the roads. But in between the squalls and massive swell there were a few windows to paddle out and score some fleeting moments like this ramping up to the peak of the storm. And sure, maybe the waves weren't as clean and picturesque as our friends south of the border in California got, but for Canadian waves we'll take it! Lots more to come from this swell so stay tuned!
