A small communication error led to the biggest disaster in Indonesian railway history. Monday morning, October 19, 1987, was a moment never to be forgotten. Two packed trains, KA 225 and KA 220, were speeding in opposite directions on the same track on a deadly single-track stretch in the Bintaro area. Why couldn't even the emergency brakes withstand this fatal collision? In this video, I will reconstruct the tense moments leading up to and during the incident using a realistic physics simulation from BeamNG.drive. This video was created as a form of education, a historical reminder, and a tribute to the victims of the 1987 Bintaro Tragedy.
